OCEAN CURRENTS
Ocean currents are movements of ocean water that follow a regular pattern.

Why are some blue and some red?

TYPES OF CURRENTS:
SURFACE CURRENTS - These currents are horizontal movements of ocean water caused by the wind and occurring at or near the surface of the ocean (Duh!).
-Surface currents are controlled by 3 things:
1. Global Winds (p.125)
         2. The Coriolis Effect (p.126)
                3.Continental Deflection (p.126)
