OCEAN CURRENTS
Ocean currents are movements of ocean water that follow a regular
pattern.
Why are some blue and some red?
TYPES OF CURRENTS:
SURFACE CURRENTS - These currents are horizontal movements of ocean
water caused by the wind and occurring at or near the surface of the ocean
(Duh!).
-Surface currents are controlled by 3 things:
1. Global Winds (p.125)
2. The Coriolis Effect
(p.126)
3.Continental
Deflection (p.126)
